Jamar goes accident free for 1 million hours

For the second straight year, the local construction company Jamar reached 1 million hours worked without a injury that caused lost work time.

“One million man-hours without a lost-time injury in the construction industry does not happen by being lucky,” Jamar Safety Manager Greg Olek said in a prepared statement. “This accomplishment is a direct result of our employee’s commitment to working every day with zero injuries.”

Jamar, with other offices in Marquette, Mich. and Green Bay, Wis., was also given its third consecutive Governor Saftey Award of Honor in May from the Minnesota Safety Council. Jamar is a subsidiary of APi Group Inc.
