Chisholm manufacturer plans to add up to 75 jobs

A Chisholm-based drill manufacturer plans to add 50 to 75 jobs with the assistance of $2.7 million in loans.

Minnesota Twist Drill, who sells high-speed drill bits to major tool companies, received the loans Thursday from Iron Range Resources to help the company double their operations within five years.

“It’s going to involve a lot of hard work here in the coming months to get this off the ground and rolling, but we’re ready within a very short period of time to actually start hiring people,” Scott Allison, the president and CEO of Minnesota Twist Drill, told Fox 21 News.

Minnesota Twist Drill’s customers include Black and Decker and Irwin.
